01 / The brief

What the site had to actually do.

Notarial work is bought under stress. Someone is buying a house, starting a company, or settling an estate, and the document in front of them is legally binding and largely unreadable. Most notary websites answer that with institutional language and a contact form.

The brief was the opposite: explain the deed before anyone signs it, publish the fees rather than hiding them behind an enquiry, and work in both Dutch and English without the English feeling like an afterthought.

02 / What we did

Four decisions that shaped it.

Structure Answers in the order they are asked Six areas of practice, each with what the deed does, what it costs, and how long it takes. The site answers the question before asking for a phone number.
Fees Published, not quoted on request A visible fee page is unusual in this profession. It is also the single fastest way to earn trust from someone comparing three notaries.
Bilingual Dutch and English as equals Amsterdam is full of internationals signing Dutch deeds. Both languages carry the full content, not a reduced summary.
Process Four stages, whichever deed you need One process explanation that holds for property, company formation, and estates, so the reader is never guessing which path applies to them.
03 / The result

What shipped, and why it works.

The result reads like a professional office rather than a law firm brochure. Fourteen sections, a published fee structure, a reviewed-by-clients section, and an appointment flow that starts with the matter type rather than a blank message box.

What is in the build

Fully responsive, single-page architecture

Bilingual content model, NL and EN

Published fee tables per practice area

Appointment flow keyed to matter type
